I am going on a blog vacation. I need to get some things straightened out for work and make everything better. (I’ve got some tough cookies!) I am very tired and boring myself on here….so I will back in a month or so……until then enjoy this picture. (A classic fave of mine)

What I did: Well first it was great not to rush to the computer last night. I like the idea of one weekend wrap up. I might tuck Friday in as well so I can stay out and not worry. Anyway, the wedding on Friday night was great. The report I got about Elle was even better. She was very well behaved for my grandparents and that makes me so happy. Back to the wedding…it was really fun. I got to dance a little and have a nice time with my family even if none of them remember it. (jk) On Saturday, we went out in the morning. We went to Einstein Bagels and even though it was morning, I had to get the veg out sandwich. It was awesome. We went for a stroll around Target and then had band practice in the afternoon. I was really happy with how natural it felt to play most of the songs. I needed very little reminders. I felt better after the practice knowing I had a lot of it down. Then last night J had to work sound for the Auction House, so after Elle go rammy I came home a relaxed. Today J is with his band doing a video, so Elle and I are chilling in the house. We went to Toys R us and got her the Mr. Fluffy’s Bakery she has been begging for. I am getting laundry done and planning on a trip to Taco Bell with the little monster. Tonight we are getting dinner with my family and planning for the week. It has been a great weekend and I am glad I have time to relax.
Tunes: One Week until the Say Anything Concert. One week and 5 days until the Get Up Kids. It’s all I’ve been listening to.
Thoughts: Elle is going to be Tinkerbell for Halloween. She got this costume for her first Christmas. It is going to be so cute. My little TinkerELLE. Tinkerbell was also the name of my first cat. I loved her.

What I did: I am off to a wedding tonight so I am not sure when we will get in. I had a great Friday at work and now I am getting dressed up and ready to leave my little munchin. I will tell of the stories on Sunday. I am going to start writing out the entire weekend on one day. It kind of sucks to squeeze in writing on a Saturday. I have been almost perfect up until now, but a weekend update might be so much better.
Tunes: Songs I am hoping to hear at the wedding” “Billy Jean”, “Grease Mega Mix”, “Shook Me All Night Long” and maybe some “Shout.” I don’t know what we’ll hear, but that’s a good mix.
Thoughts: I am not a fan of weddings. I don’t drink so I don’t find it a time to get out and drink. I don’t usually like the food. AND I will dance, I live to dance, but here has to be people I know.
Pic: Wedding! I wish this was the cake tonight.

What I did: I went to another fantastic day at school. No, really the kids were fantastic again. I am loving this. I took Elle to get an early dinner and I am cleaning. I am working an auction tonight so I am writing this early. I hope to watch The Office and 30 Rock. I am sorry that the past few days have typos. I will get them all fixed as soon as I have time away from this computer. Other than that, my day was good, but stressful.
Tunes: Nothing. I’ve got nothing. I am not listening to anything but the sounds rattling in my own brain because I am busy trying to get ready for this wedding and all the school work.
Thoughts: Can’t wait till November.

What I did: I went in and did the cell lab. The kids weren’t able to look at their own cells, but I made sure they saw cells. School was great today. I was really impressed with how some of the kids worked. After I left school, J met me at Panera for bread and green tea. It was really nice. Now, I have been cleaning like a mad woman. I want to get everything done so I can enjoy the game tonight. Let’s go Phillies!
Tunes: I listened to The Messy Housewives the other day, but forgot to list my two faves. I really loved “Islands” by the XX and “I See a Brightness” by Lacrosse. Both of these songs really tuned into the type of music I enjoy. I really liked all the songs, but these were the best in my opinion.
Thoughts: I hope the Phillies win, but at the same time the madness could end. Oh, the dilemma!
Pic: This was also at eh exhibit. I wish I could use it for “Stripes.”

What I did: Normal school day. Tonight I went to Educators Night Out at the Franklin Institute. The exhibit was Body Worlds 2. I loved it. I loved the first time. This time it was just as awesome. I love looking at our insides and imagining how they work. I love actually seeing the things I talk about yo my students and gaining a better perspective of how the human body works. The body is truly amazing. This is something everyone should see, but I know everyone doesn;t like this stuff. It was an awesome night.
Tunes: I heard ABBA’a “Dancing Queen” on the way to school today. This song brings up so many feelings it’s weird. I liked it in Summer of Sam and it has also been referenced in House as his ringtone for Wilson. It’s such a good song. The other song I heard was “Don’t go Breaking my Heart” by Elton John. What can I say? I feel as light as a feather when I hear this song. My teeth ache. It’s happy. I am trying to be PC.
Thoughts: I wish I could have taken one of the organs on display the the exhibition. I would love to have an aorta or a kung. It would be awesome.
Pic: Here is one of the most awesome things that was there. I can’t explain how massive this camel was!

What I did: I went to work and gave the old “you gotta try harder” speech. I hope that these kids turn around. I hate having so very little “A’s” I am now at home trying to get the house in order. We are going to a wedding Friday night. My grandmother is watching Elle and I would like to have the house in order before then. I was originally planning to have the day off, but I don’t want to waste any of my time in case I really need the days this year. I am looking forward to grocery shopping and watching the game tonight. I just want to relax.
Tunes: I heard two songs I haven’t thought about in a while. The first song was the White Stripes’ “The Hardest Button to Button.” I like this song. I never had their album or saw them live, but I liked the song and always thought they were interesting. The other song was The Verve’s “Bitter Sweet Symphony.” This was another group that I liked but never owned an album. Both of this songs are constantly played on the old XFM Gervais Show.
Thoughts: I am having a little bit of anxiety about Friday. Its not that I don’t think Elle will be okay with my grandmother she will be fine. I am just unsure of how great of a time I will have and if its worth worrying. If I was going to have a Friday night out, I would like to do something I never get to do. I haven’t been to a movie in almost two years. That would be awesome.

What I did: I got up and got some things cleaned around the house. I then went over to the in-law’s house. My M-I-L was obsessed with getting this awesome coat for Elle so we went to Olly Kids to get one. It is truly awesome. I wish I had got a picture of it. I will post one from a website below. We had a great dinner with the family. Everyone including Grandpop was there except George. He had a game meeting. The diner was amazing and was topped off with Apple pie. It was a relaxing day, but now I have to play catch up so I am keeping this short.
Tunes: None. (Sorry)
Thoughts: This week should be great. I have to get to work early so I can get some things copied. I am not doing the lab tomorrow.

What I did: It was game day today, so of course, I did nothing. I don’t even feel like typing these words out. Game day is a tough day for me. I have to watch Elle run around, eat too many sweets, and then keep her out of everyone’s hair. It sucks. If I was able to play games, it might be different. I am now at home and I am sure she has a belly ache from all the crap she had today so she keeps freaking out. I feel so bad. I am hoping to catch the rerun of this week’s Project Runway. I have been so tired I keep missing all my shows.
Tunes: Well the only songs I heard were the songs in The Chocolate War by Yaz(oo). I will say it again “Only You” is one of the best songs of all time!
Thoughts: My head has been banging all day. Sorry this whole thing sounds like a whine fest, but today sucked and I should be honest.
Pic: Game geeks. I don’t have a picture of today so I found one. This is what today was kind of like. Imagine J is the guy with the beard.

What I did: Well, I am so glad that I am not at school anymore. It was pep rally day. That is the worst day of the year. The kids go around writing the number of the year they think they are going to graduate in and act like fools. It is the craziest day. Almost as crazy as the day before the Holiday break. Tonight there is a show at the oft so I am writing pretty early. Nothing has really happened so far. I am hoping that Elle is really good while we take people at the door and then we all retire to a relaxing night.
Tunes: I don’t know what the big deal about Oasis is. Maybe it was just before I really got into music or I just never cared, but to me they have always been just radio rock. I know people who worship this band. I heard two of their songs today, “Wonderwall” and “Champagne Supernova.” The songs are alright, but they never blew my mind. I also know the guys themselves are said to be jerks. Whatever the big deal is, I am just brushing it off. They are certainly not The Beatles.
Thoughts: I am going with the cupcakes. Also, sorry I called balloon boy an asshole. It turns out its the whole family.
